New Album Page for Clownaround
Today we have a new album page for ClownAround, one of musical theater’s “lost” recordings. Conceived by television executive Alvin Cooperman (The Untouchables), who wrote the book and lyrics, with music by Mark “Moose” Charlap, the original production of ClownAround was directed by Gene Kelly and starred Ruth Buzzi. This is the first time the recording has been available in any format since the show’s original run in 1972. ClownAround will be released exclusively on Masterworks Broadway on June 4. Along with digital download, there will be a limited number of physical CDs available for purchase.
