American actress and singer Sandy Faison made her Broadway debut in Annie in 1977 as Grace Farrell, secretary to Daddy Warbucks. Although she has made later Broadway appearances, in Charlie and Algernon (1980), Is there life after high school? (1982), and as Alice Sycamore in You Can’t Take It With You (1983), most of her work has been in television.
She started in soap opera, featured on Guiding Light (1977), Another World (1979), and The Edge of Night (1983–84). She was on several episodes of The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd in 1987, and had a regular role as Pamela Payton-Finch in Anything But Love in 1989. The television movie An Eight Is Enough Wedding (1989) featured her as the family matriarch Abby Bradford. Sandy Faison has made guest appearances on many series, including Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1985), Quantum Leap (1991), The Wonder Years (1992), Grace Under Fire (1995) and Party of Five (1997). Other TV specials have included Time Out for Dad (1987), and The Westing Game (1997).
Faison has appeared in feature films The Sterile Cuckoo (uncredited, 1969) and All the Right Moves (1983), and the video thriller Play Nice (1992). She teaches in New York City at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art, and Performing Arts.
