A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Pamela Myers has devoted the majority of her career to television and film as both an actress and a singer. Her place in the celestial sphere of Broadway was fixed when she originated the role of Marta in 1970 in Stephen Sondheim’s musical, Company. For her Broadway debut, Myers was nominated for a Tony® for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
After the ill-fated 1972 musical The Selling of the President closed after only five performances, Pamela Myers acted on television and sang on the soundtrack of the John Schlesinger film, The Day of the Locust. She did not return to Broadway again until 2002 in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods.
