Though she made her Broadway debut in the psychological thriller Angel Street in 1975, it was in the following year that Christine Andreas made her “singular sensation” in the twentieth-anniversary revival of Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, reprising the role of Eliza Doolittle and gaining the 1976 Theatre World Award in return. Since then, she has appeared in several other revivals, including Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! (1980 Tony Award® nominee for Best Actress in a Musical), as well as in Rodgers and Hart’s On Your Toes (1983 Tony® nominee for Featured Actress in a Musical). In 1997, she played the role of Maguerite St. Just in Frank Wildhorn and Nan Knighton’s musical comedy adaptation of The Scarlet Pimpernel.
In addition to her television and film work, Andreas is an acclaimed chanteuse, performing at the likes of the Café Carlyle, the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, and the Catalina Grill in Los Angeles.
